Writing is not a big part of my work history, but recently (Savage Enterprises) I had the opportunity to illustrate & write descriptions for 1-2 podcasts a week on science, politics, health & spirituality, and offering many brilliantly funny moments.
- Illustrations – Collages from internet images, edited in Powerpoint.
- Descriptions – Written to inspire downloads of the podcast. After listening to the podcast, letting the experience inspire and breathe life into the words.
- Web pages – Written in WordPress to showcase the podcasts & navigate between groupings of them. On the website each podcast had a link to its entry on the Megaphone podcast platform.
ONE EXAMPLE:
PODCAST AIRED AUGUST 3, 2020 – “This show is ‘classic’ Savage, grousing in the funniest way about terrible vacation accommodations, bad service, & loud people in the restaurant. ‘Why VACATE your home anyway? Home is where you get the best sleep!’ The horrors at 7000 feet were numerous and ended in one fateful moment when a biker approached Savage and his wife a little too aggressively in a lonely gas station far from civilization, resulting in some sage travel advice you won’t want to miss. This is a ‘ONE FOR THE AGES’ podcast!”
