Major redesign of vSphere (VMware flagship app) pseudo-mobile user interface. Awkward, confusing, & slow!  My detailed USABILITY STUDY counted number of attempts & total time to complete tasks. Data & user comments convinced management to recommend redesign.

Dynamic analog glyphs for ADVANCED VISUALIZATION of a DARPA super computer. “Live” visual indicators arrayed in large numbers for global monitoring.

WALK-UP TEST CENTER with a Star Trek theme presented timed search tasks. Fastest times shown on a leader board & given cash payments. Great data from motivated subjects!

WHO KNEW?

Sun Micro supplied server hardware to the military in the Middle East. A server was literally carried by a soldier, on his back, into the desert.  Focus groups with military experts provided CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS: Heat proof, dust proof, sand proof, not too heavy, & battery-powered for long periods of time.
